Alpha Blondy

Alpha Blondy (Seydou Koné)
Born January 1, 1953 in Dimbokro), Alpha Blondy is an Ivorian reggae singer and international recording artist. Many of his songs are politically and socially motivated, and are mainly sung in his native language Dyula, French and English, though he occasionally uses other languages, for example, Arabic, Hebrew, or Jamaican Patois. In 1974, Seydou moved to New York where he majored in English at Hunter College and the Columbia University American Language Program, pursuing a career in teaching. In New York, he was introduced to Rastafari and attended concerts by Jamaican artists including Burning Spear. Seydou was involved in multiple altercations before returning to the Ivory Coast where he encountered further trouble until he reunited with his childhood friend, Fulgence Kassi, who had become a noted television producer. Alkaline (Earlan Bartley)
Born 19 December 1993), Alkaline is a Jamaican dancehall and reggae musician from Kingston, Jamaica. Known for entering the scene with an alluring perception heavily projected to his Jamaican audience and utilizing his stage name to represent the opposite principles of his personality correlating the dichotomy of positive and negative. Alkaline was born in Kingston's Victoria Jubilee Hospital. He attended Ardenne High School and studied Media and Communication at the University of the West Indies. During his time in high school is when he started to have the determination for music. Ali Campbell (Alistair Ian Campbell)
Alistair Ian Campbell (born 15 February 1959 in Birmingham, England) is a British singer and songwriter who was lead singer and co-founder of the British reggae band, UB40.He is the brother of former bandmate Robin Campbell and former UB40 frontman Duncan Campbell, and is a son of the late Scottish folk singer, Ian Campbell. http://www.alicampbell.net | https://ub40.org
On 24 January 2008, it was reported that Ali Campbell was to quit the group after almost 30 years. A founding member of UB40, songwriter and lead vocalist, he finally quit the band in 2008. Alborosie (Alberto D'Ascola)
Born 4 July 1977, sometimes called the "Italian Reggae Ambassador", Alborosie is an Italian reggae artist. In 2001, Alborosie decided to try a solo career. He moved to Jamaica to be close to reggae music's roots and Rastafari culture. There, he started working as a sound engineer and producer. He has also worked with artists like Gentleman and Ky-Mani Marley. His first solo album was called Soul Pirate.
