Although it wasn't until 2018 that they coined the 18th Parallel name, drummer Antonin Chatelain, guitarist Léo Marin, and keyboard player Mathias Liengme began performing together as the studio band for their own Geneva-based label, Fruits Records, in 2015.
The act was effective as a studio band, as it allowed for a revolving set of players to step in and out of the ensemble as dictated by the material.
