- Steve Huey, AllMusic Guide - Bounty Killer was one of the most aggressive dancehall stars of the '90s, a street-tough rude boy with an unrepentant flair for gun talk. There were many other facets to his music -- condemnations of corrupt authority, collaborations with hardcore hip-hop artists, tributes to his mother, an ongoing DJ rivalry with Beenie Man -- but his main persona was so dominant that many fans instantly associated him with his more violent material [more] https://www.allmusic.com/artist/bounty-killer-mn0000078758

- Anthony B
- Born 31 March 1976), Anthony B is a Jamaican DJ and member of the Rastafari movement. He grew up in rural Clark's Town, Trelawny, Jamaica. His deeply religious family life (his mother was a Seventh-day Adventist and his grandmother a Revivalist) imbued him with a profound spirituality. During his youth, his favorite singers were reggae legends Bob Marley and Peter Tosh - musicians who strongly influenced his own style. Peter Tosh's influence can definitely be heard in Anthony B's vocal delivery and revolutionary stance. While attending high school, Anthony B debuted as a deejay for the local sound system, Shaggy Hi-Power. At this point, singing "slack" songs about women was the popular thing to do. Anthony B did not believe in degrading women and chose to pen politically slanted songs instead. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_B
- Jason Ankeny, AllMusic Guide - Reggae singer Anthony B was born in Clarks Town, Jamaica. After performing with church and school choirs throughout his youth, he made his debut as a DJ with the local sound system Shaggy Hi-Power. Relocating to Portmore in 1988, he befriended fellow aspiring DJs including Determine, Mega Banton, and Ricky General, issuing his debut single "The Living Is Hard" in 1993 [more] https://www.allmusic.com/artist/anthony-b-mn0000487357
