Cécile Claudine Charlton

Born on 24 February 1974 in Manchester, Jamaica, Ce'cile is a Jamaican musician in the dancehall genre. Today Cécile is known internationally. Her albums sell well in Germany and Japan amongst others. She had a child in 2012 with her then boyfriend, recording artist Christopher Martin.

Her initial foray into the music industry was met with indifference, although her follow-up, ‘Beat Of My Heart’, recorded with Michael ‘Ibo’ Cooper of Third World, introduced her to a wider audience. To establish her career she performed on the live circuit with notable appearances at the Cactus nightclub and at the Reggae Sunsplash Festival in 1998.
